As a member of the BACP, (British association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practise in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am subject to their professional conduct procedures. Should you have any concerns about my practise I would
urge you to raise them directly with me so that we can remedy the situation.


You can expect me :

  • To provide you with professional and respectful care

  • To honour the trust you have placed in me

  • To work with you in a non-judgemental way and value your individuality

  • To respect your confidentiality, providing that what you tell me does not make me aware you are contemplating causing serious harm to yourself or others

  • To be in continuous supervision to safeguard client welfare and maintain my professional standards

I expect you:

  • To be honest, open and willing to share your concerns with me

  • To ask me questions when you don’t understand something or need clarification

  • To report changes in your availability or unexpected events with me* (that may affect our work together)

  • To keep appointments or give at least 24 hours’ notice that you need to cancel or re- schedule, failure to give 24 hours’ notice will be charged full fee

  • To endeavour to give me 2 sessions notice before termination of our therapeutic relationship as this will allow a careful and prepared conclusion.

 

All information will be stored as required by GPDR data protection guidance and will not be shared with any third party without your prior consent.
